Tell us about your role with IFC and how long you have been with the business.
I have worked at IFC for 2 years, in the operations department.

What do you enjoy most about working at IFC?
I really enjoy working with our team. Working alongside supportive colleagues makes the job enjoyable.

What drew you to work in the supply chain industry?
I fell into the world of freight forwarding when I left school and have been in the industry since.

Tell us a little about your background and experience.
I have worked in freight forwarding for more than 20 years, from small family businesses to multinationals. I have enjoyed the variety of work over the years, having worked in all departments.

In your experience working in the industry, what are the biggest challenges and opportunities you’ve come across so far?
The biggest challenge to date for me was COVID, there was a lot of supply and demand pressure.

For aspiring professionals interested in a career in the supply chain industry, what advice would you give them to kickstart their journey?
I strongly encourage aspiring professionals to get involved in logistics. There is a consistent demand for logistics professionals. Companies across most industries rely on efficient supply chain management. If you like problem solving, this is the industry for you!!

What are your hobbies or favourite interests that you enjoy pursuing in your free time?
Hanging out with family and friends and of course holidaying!!!
