What was it about IFC that made you want to be part of the team?
I was drawn to IFC as a dynamic and fast growing Australian owned company that places strong emphasis on both customer satisfaction and employee wellbeing. This is clearly reflected in the longevity and loyalty of its team members
How do you see yourself making a positive impact here at IFC?
With my extensive experience in freight forwarding, I hope to bring a collaborative and solutions focused mindset to the team. My goal is to contribute to a positive and rewarding culture that benefits both IFC’s team and customers
What drew you to work in the supply chain industry?
Originally took a break from my university studies and wanted to get into the workforce. I thought it was a good opportunity to join a dynamic and fast paced industry with opportunity for career development.
Tell us a little about your background and experience.
I have 25 years working experience in freight and logistics and held key roles at major global companies. Some of my roles have included Customer Service Manager, Key Account Manager, Head of Key Account Management, Commercial Manager for Healthcare and Pharmaceutical and Sustainability Manager.
In your career, what are the biggest challenges and opportunities you’ve come across so far?
Navigating rapid change is always challenging (for example during COVID), new technologies and now our Sustainability in supply chain.
For aspiring professionals interested in a career in the supply chain industry, what advice would you give them to kickstart their journey?
Be resilient, do not be afraid to ask questions, take risks and challenge yourself.
What hobbies or interests do you enjoy pursuing in your free time?
Spending time with my family and taking on home improvement projects and floristry.
