How IFC supports the FMCG industry: Transporting fashion and homewares
IFC Global Logistics and Warehousing are Australia's trusted provider of international global supply chain solutions. IFC understands how competitive the FMCG industry is, and we recognise that the administration of a retail supply chain requires ongoing innovation. The retail and homewares industries are a fast-paced environment driven by various factors such as seasonal variations, trend swings, and changing customer behaviour.
IFC’s commitment to constant development is shown in how the business manages customers’ logistical challenges. Our team seeks to provide clients with peace of mind by assisting in managing operational procedures and inventory levels from source to shelf, bringing considerable value to some of the world’s leading retail chains.
In particular, IFC has demonstrated experience in developing innovative approaches regarding the unique Direct to Store and E-Commerce Models.
Direct to Store Model
Developed originally for IFC’s client, Total Tools, the Direct-to-Store model entails processing and consolidation at an offshore location, after which store-ready palleted orders are sent directly to each Australian state for direct delivery to stores. This strategy significantly minimises production lead times, streamlines stock ordering, and aids in planning sales and marketing promotions based on immediately available inventory.
E-Commerce Model
IFC also collaborates with e-Commerce retailers to provide custom supply chain solutions. With a success rate of more than 99 per cent for a home furniture client, our network of warehouses and vehicle fleets has enabled us to provide four-hour metropolitan delivery options for our clients. The benefit of such efficiency is that customers have a superior delivery experience which exceeds their expectations.
