Shivneel Naidu - 3PL Operations Manager-NSW
Tell us about your role with IFC and how long you have been with the business.
I came on board in January 2024, serving as 3PL Site Operations Manager for Leppington, NSW.
My core responsibilities encompass managing all the operations of the NSW facility. This includes overseeing inwards receipt and put away, order fulfilment, dispatch, and distribution. In addition, I am charged with the task of ensuring that our customer’s service expectations are duly met, aligning with their agreed KPI’s for throughput, timeliness, and accuracy.
Furthermore, one of the key aspects of my role is to maintain the operational margin within the set budget, thereby contributing to the facility’s profitability.
What do you enjoy most about working at IFC?
What I enjoy the most about working at IFC is predominantly our team. I truly value the experience of collaborating with my colleagues. We’re thoroughly invested in supporting one another and persistently strive to exceed expectations to obtain our desired results.
What drew you to work in the supply chain industry?
After migrating to Australia, I discovered that there was a lot of demand in the supply chain industry. Therefore, I decided to invest my time and resources in this sector. Now, I am leading major operations.
Tell us a little about your background and experience.
I started my career as a Customer Service Representative during my university years. After that, I transitioned to the Manufacturing/Pharmaceutical industry where I worked for over a decade. Currently, I am in the Supply chain and logistics industry and have had the privilege of working with industry leaders throughout my career. I’m greatly passionate about what I do, and I always look forward to bringing my skills and experience to the table.
In your experience working in the industry, what are the biggest challenges and opportunities you’ve come across so far?
In my experience, the most significant challenge has been staying current with rapidly evolving technology and struggling to retain the workforce due to increased industry demands caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
How do you think IFC differentiates from competitors?
IFC differentiates from its competitors through several key elements. Firstly, it has a dedicated team of professionals who are empowered to make quick and significant decisions. This accelerates processes and improves efficiency. Secondly, being Australian owned and operated presents a unique market understanding and a strong domestic presence. Lastly, IFC’s advanced technology systems enhance its operational capacity, positioning it a step ahead in the market.
For aspiring professionals interested in a career in the supply chain industry, what advice would you give them to kickstart their journey?
I would suggest starting from an entry-level position to initially gain practical experience in the industry. Concurrently, pursuing a formal qualification specific to supply chain management could expedite your progression and establish a solid foundation of knowledge. These combined strategies will set you on a path for rapid advancement in the supply chain industry.
What are your hobbies or favourite interests that you enjoy pursuing in your free time?
In my free time, I am particularly fond of sports, with a focus on soccer and rugby 7s. Also, travelling is a great passion of mine, as it provides the opportunity for meeting new people.
