How long have you been working with IFC? Please tell us a little about your role.
I have worked at IFC for 29 years with various roles including as a Personal Assistant, Function Co-ordinator and in customer service looking after key accounts and clients.
What do you enjoy most about working at IFC?
I enjoy the strong business relationships I have built with staff over the years and also with our customers. Renzo is a man of vision and has developed and grown the company from a small office back in 1990 to what it is today.
IFC now deliver first class supply chain solutions including supply management, freight forwarding, brokerage and warehousing all backed by sophisticated logistics technology.
I’m loyal and committed to the company and to my customers. IFC is now a part of my DNA!
What drew you to work in the supply chain industry?
I began in the industry when I was 18 and living in Tasmania. After completing business college I started as a receptionist at a sea cargo company and moved my way up and relocated to their Melbourne branch. From there I went to another supply chain solutions company where I met Renzo, who was working in sales at the time. Renzo departed and started his own business where he asked me to join and the rest speaks for itself!
In your experience working in the supply chain industry, what are the biggest challenges and opportunities you’ve come across so far?
To maintain and work along side directors to manage sophisticated supply chain solutions has provided great challenges and work opportunities.
How do you think IFC differentiates from competitors?
Simple! The IFC team have heart and are real people that provide real solutions and generally just care about our customers and go the extra mile.
For aspiring professionals interested in a career in the supply chain industry, what advice would you give them to kickstart their journey?
