Tell us about your role with IFC and how long you have been with the business.
I began working with IFC around 13 years ago. I started as a trainee in reception, which took a year to complete. I worked closely with the operation team, learning the basics of freight forwarding. This is where my passion for transport began.
What do you enjoy most about working at IFC?
I love the friendly team environment at IFC.
What drew you to work in the supply chain industry?
I stumbled upon the supply chain industry while finishing my business traineeship 13 years ago and haven’t looked back. Starting as a junior, I learnt the basics and now handle daily transport for several IFC clients.
Tell us a little about your background and experience.
I previously worked in the hospitality industry before starting my Business traineeship with IFC.
In your experience working in the industry, what are the biggest challenges and opportunities you’ve encountered so far?
The speed of change in the year after returning from maternity leave, including empty park issues and port congestion, has made the job quite challenging at times.
How do you think IFC differentiates from competitors?
IFC always puts the customers first and will always try to meet their needs wherever possible
For aspiring professionals interested in a career in the supply chain industry, what advice would you give them to kickstart their journey?
Everyone always starts at the bottom, works hard and gains plenty of experience. It will take you far.
What hobbies or interests do you enjoy pursuing in your free time?
I spend most of my free time with my family and enjoy the football.
