Jake Rentoul - Sydney Warehouse Storeman / Inbound Operator
Tell us about your role with IFC and how long you have been with the business.
I am a Storeman / Inbound Operator at IFC Sydney and have been with the company for 18 months.
What do you enjoy most about working at IFC?
The friendly work culture with lots of opportunity for growth.
What drew you to work in the supply chain industry?
I was looking for a fresh start within a new industry to enhance my career.
Tell us a little about your background and experience.
I have spent a decade in retail working for Woolworths, Aldi and BWS before gradually making my way into warehousing.
In your experience working in the industry, what are the biggest challenges and opportunities you’ve come across so far?
Having to move warehouses whilst meeting deadlines was challenging. Learning multiple roles in order to assist others when short-staffed was another challenge to overcome.
How do you think IFC differentiates from competitors?
IFC is unique due to its innovation, global network, and commitment to sustainability.
For aspiring professionals interested in a career in the supply chain industry, what advice would you give them to kickstart their journey?
Master the basics, learn multiple roles, and be a sponge around employees with more experience.
What are your hobbies or favourite interests that you enjoy pursuing in your free time?
I am an Australian professional wrestler, I have been wrestling for 10 years and have won 13 championships across NSW and ACT.
