Weather Delays to Vessel Departures from Sydney

Dear Valued Customer

You will be aware that Sydney experienced some extremely bad weather the night of Tuesday Oct 14th.

Unfortunately two vessels on our “Northern Loop” and “Southern Loop” services were involved in an incident in Port Botany, Sydney. The KIEL EXPRESS 438 S/N broke its moorings and came into contact with SAFMARINE MAKUTU 429S/440E. Both vessels incurred minor damage during the collision.

This incident, combined with the weather, has resulted in both vessels now being delayed on their departures from Sydney. A portion of local Sydney exports and transhipment cargo planned for relay to Brisbane on KIEL EXPRESS 438 S/N has been delayed to the APL ARABIA 079 S/N.
