Terminal Receiving Charge (TRC) United States West Coast to Australia & New Zealand
As you are aware the port and terminal conditions in the U.S. West Coast ports have deteriorated significantly. Carriers have attempted to do their best in managing increased costs internally through a series of actions, including terminal moves in Tacoma and Los Angeles.
At this point carriers can no longer absorb these rising costs and are forced to pass on a share of these expenses through the introduction of a Terminal Receiving Charge.
Effective January 1, 2015 a Terminal Receiving Charge (TRC) will be assessed on all export cargo loaded at U.S. West Coast ports in the amount of US$75/20’ and US$150/40’ & USD3.00/per CBM for LCL.
