At IFC we employ innovation and
operational systems that are at the forefront of technology.
Yet, wherever the change of technology tide turns, we
remain focused on 2 of our core customer service objectives:
1.
seamless transactions
2. visibility of orders - right down to the
product line level.
We have developed our own web based
freight information system to
manage and distribute up-to-the-minute supply chain information to
importers, suppliers, freight forwarders and other trading partners,
internationally.
Our product,
Freight Supply Chain (FSC), was
created to
address a high level of expectations from importers, not only for up
to date information on the transportation of goods, but on increasingly
sophisticated demands for value-added services. Our software
application, provided at no charge to our clients, allows
importers and their clients to do just that - and to get a lot more, for less.
Adjudged
a finalist for Lloyds List DCN's e-Commerce Award, our innovative
software has allowed both importers and exporters to
reduce their operating
overheads and increase their efficiencies by as much as 30 percent.
In November
2007, IFC was awarded the National 2007 Information
Management Excellence Award by the Supply Chain & Logistics
Association of Australia (SCLAA) for significant achievement in
the use of communications, information management, technology
and e-business in any aspect of logistics and supply chain
management. Our web-enabled FSC software made a significant
contribution to our company winning the prestigious and historic
Len Smith Trophy. Our software was
recognised as a powerful strategic tool that leverages real-time
information to improve everyone's time to value whilst
addressing the many challenges faced by importers in a world of
disappearing borders.
