Import Processing Charges (IPC) Changes to Import Processing Charges from 1January 2016

Dear Customer,
As part of the 2015-16 Commonwealth Budget, the Government has decided to restructure the Import Processing Charges (IPC).
The restructured IPCs will be as follows;
- For consignments valued over $10,000 the IPC for electronic Sea, Air/Parcel Post import declarations will be $152.00 per consignment instead of $122.10 for Air/Parcel Post and $152.60 for Sea.
- For consignments valued over $1,000 and up to $10,000, the IPC will be $50 for both electronic Sea and Air import declarations instead of $40.20 for Air/Post and $50.00 for Sea.
- The IPC will continue not to be applied to consignments valued at $1,000 or less.
From January 2016, the cost recovery charges for Customs on import declaration (FID) will be as below;
