In the first quarter of 2017, IFC Warehousing & Distribution will be opening their new, purpose built 3PL warehouse in Prestons, NSW.
The 9,500 m2 purpose built facility, will bring significant efficiencies and overall productivity improvements to both IFC and its clients.
“Conservation, being ‘green’, and carbon efficiency is an important aspect of the IFC ethos.”, Renzo Bevinetto, Managing Director of the IFC Group, confirmed. “This is why the new warehouse will meet and exceed the energy efficiency rating standards. IFC will be implementing eco-friendly initiatives such as solar power lighting, recycling rain water (external tanks) for the utility areas, and other state of the art technology to enhance productivity improvements. “
Other additional services that will be provided by this facility include a customs bonded store, quarantine and accredited food quality services with the capability of operating and managing a ‘one stop shop’ similar to our current Melbourne facility.
The immediate challenge IFC faces are with the local Liverpool Council Development Approval process which may take between 6 -12 months and managing the associated holding costs and timescales.
“This marks a new era for IFC as it enters its 25th year. “
