Service ex-Australia & New Zealand to West Coast North America (PANZ) PNW fortnightly loop – Suspension of Oakland calls
With port congestion in Southern California continuing to impact upon on the schedule reliability of Hamburg Sud service to West Coast North America, the decision has been taken to temporarily suspend calls at Oakland on Hamburg Sud fortnightly PNW product.
The Oakland calls on Hamburg Sud weekly PSW product will however continue.
This change will be effective from PNW sailing CAP PASADO 920, which has already sailed Australia and will be arriving Auckland Jan 14th. All Oakland units as loaded will be discharged in Auckland and transferred to Tauranga for loading on PSW sailing KOTA PELANGI 415, eta TRG Jan 21st, eta Oakland Feb 4th.
Henceforward, shipments ex-Adelaide to Oakland can still be loaded on the PNW sailings for relay in Auckland/Tauranga to the PSW sailings to Oakland. Bookings ex-Melbourne, Sydney and New Zealand to Oakland however should now be concentrated to the weekly PSW sling only. The suspension of Oakland calls remains a temporary measure, with direct calls reinstated once port operations on the West Coast have normalised
