Department of Immigration and the Department of Customs and Border Protection
The Force will be with US
Change is one thing that has been consistent in our Industry for many years. Changes in themselves bring much to the table in the way of opportunities / improvements and in some cases new barriers that have to be overcome. The change on July 1 with the Department of Immigration and the Department of Customs and Border Protection joining to form the new Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) has provided an opportunity for Industry to work with the new Department and pave the way for a more certain future for our Industry and our role as the interface between Government and Importers / Exporters. The upcoming CBFCA National Conference, October 15-17 at the Sheraton on the Park in Sydney,  will provide just that opportunity for our members to hear direct from the Minister and new Commissioner of the Australian Border Force“A strong community can make a strong point”
