CHENNAI AIRPORT CLOSED DUE TO FLOODING

Heavy rain fall in Chennai, India over the last three weeks has led to flooding, and the severe weather is predicted to continue for the next 72 hours. As a result, the Airports Authority of India has suspended operations at the Chennai Airport until Sunday, December 6th. All major commercial activities, including seaport and airport, are impacted.

The telecommunications network is severely affected as well, leading to disruptions in email and mobile phone communications.
