Uniface Customer IFC Global Logistics wins 2013 Australian Supply Chain & Logistics “Information Management Award”

IFC’s product FreightSupplyChain (FSC), a leading-edge, web-based information management system, recognized for excellence in the supply chain and logistics industry

DETROIT, December 20, 2013 — Compuware Corporation (Nasdaq:CPWR), the technology performance company, today announced that Uniface customer IFC Global Logistics has won the prestigious “Information Management Award,” which is presented to businesses and products that have made significant achievements with information technology in their supply chain and in the logistics industry.

“Winning this award for the second time attests to IFC’s determination and unremitting drive to address the high level of expectation from our clients for up-to-date logistics information — the type of information that our clients know will assist in strengthening their global competitiveness. Thanks to our Uniface development tool we are able to provide enriched and deeper levels of organic information that is otherwise all too difficult for our clients to find and access in a traditional supply chain setting. We are, of course, delighted to again receive this information management award to complement our ongoing success story,” said Joe Dumas, Manager Information Technology, IFC Global Logistics.

The Supply Chain and Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA) is the longest running Australian awards program in the industry. Having served in this capacity for more than fifty years, the ASCL Awards are the most recognized and esteemed awards for an individual or company to be awarded.

IFC’s supply chain solution, FreightSupplyChain (FSC), is a leading-edge, web-based international freight and information management system designed to manage and distribute up-to-the-minute supply chain information to importers, suppliers, freight forwarders and other trading partners. Built in Uniface, FSC has a proven track record of connecting all partners within the supply chain on one electronic platform.

“The Uniface development tool perfectly suits the many aspects of our supply chain commerce,” Dumas added. “Being component based and model driven, maintenance effort from our developers is minimal, whilst the reuse of completed work provides us consistency, quality and great productivity. During interfacing projects with our clients and with other providers, we have experienced superior time-to-market deployment using Uniface versus other development platforms. Users of our web application are also impressed with the vista of rich tree, tab widgets and rapid web delivery of our software to their specific needs. Moreover, we at IFC are quietly pleased to be the first global site to deploy Uniface’s nested dynamic server pages in a web application.”

“It is great to see customers being recognized for products they have built using Uniface. We ourselves know the power of Uniface, and to see a Uniface application being given this prestigious award validates its importance in the industry,” said Aad van Schetsen, Senior Vice President, Compuware Uniface.
